At Reading Works, I help children who find reading and spelling tricky to become more confident and capable learners. I make learning feel achievable, supportive and — most importantly — successful.
A Different Way To Learn...
Every child learns differently. At Reading Works, we focus on understanding how your child learns best, while building the skills they find challenging and celebrating the things they do well.
Reading Works uses the Barton Reading & Spelling System, a structured, multi-sensory, phonics-based programme that teaches reading and spelling in clear, manageable steps. It is designed especially for students with dyslexia or other learning difficulties, and is also a great fit for children and teenagers who simply need a different approach and a little extra support.
The goal isn’t just to improve reading and spelling — it’s to help students understand how their amazing brains work, build confidence and discover that they can learn.
My name is Kirsty and I am the mum of two amazing girls. My eldest has dyslexia and both girls have ADHD. I have witnessed first hand their struggles at school. My passion for helping children with learning difficulties has come from personal experience with my own children.
